Our Favorite Delicious Drink Recipes for Summertime

Piña Colada

When you think of summer, it doesn’t get much more classic than a piña colada. With the perfect mix of pineapple, coconut, and rum, it has all the vibes of a tropical paradise.

There are several ways to make a piña colada, but here’s a simple recipe we love.

Ingredients

●     1 ½ oz of white rum

●     1 oz of dark rum

●     2 oz of cream of coconut (not coconut cream, as cream of coconut contains sugar to naturally sweeten your drink)

●     2 oz of pineapple juice

●     ½ cup of diced pineapple (frozen)

●     1 ½ cups of ice

●     2 pineapple slices

Instructions

First, combine the white rum, dark rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, frozen pineapple, and ice in a blender. Blend until there’s a smooth consistency, but it’s not too liquidy. Then, pour into two glasses and garnish each with a pineapple slice.

Blueberry Vodka Smash

This mouthwatering mix is absolutely refreshing and has a smooth, balanced flavor of blueberry goodness that’s perfect on a hot summer day.

Ingredients

●     1/4 cup of blueberries (extra to garnish)

●     8 large mint leaves (extra to garnish)

●     2 oz of vodka

●     ¾ oz of lime juice

●     ¾ oz of simple syrup

●     4 ice cubes

●     Crushed ice

●     Lime wedges to garnish

Instructions

First, place the blueberries and mint leaves in a cocktail shaker. Gently mix them around (use a cocktail muddler if you have one) to draw out their flavor. Next, add the vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes to the cocktail shaker and shake until cold.

Then, serve with crushed ice, and add extra blueberries, mint leaves, and lime wedges to garnish.

Mai Tai

If you’re looking for a fruity, tropical drink with a robust flavor profile that’s incredibly satisfying in hot temps, a classic mai tai is right up your alley.

●     3 oz of spiced rum

●     ½ oz of coconut rum

●     3 oz of pineapple juice

●     2 oz of orange juice

●     1 tsp of grenadine syrup

●     1 pineapple slice for garnish

●     1 maraschino cherry for garnish

Instructions

To start, place the ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Then, add spiced rum, coconut rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and grenadine syrup. Shake until thoroughly mixed and pour into a glass full of ice. Top with a pineapple slice and maraschino cherry for garnish.
