Lisa’s Liquor Barn is excited to announce that we were recently awarded the Business of the Year Award by the Penfield Business Chamber, and wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped us in achieving this great honor.  Each year, the Penfield Business Chamber presents this award to a local business that has shown significant contributions to the vitality and success of the Penfield business community.

The Business of the Year Award is given based on a wide array of criteria, including such things as ongoing community involvement, support and involvement within the Penfield Business Chamber, online and educational resources, growth and expansion, job creation, promotion of local businesses and many others.  Here are just a few of the factors that were considered in selecting this year’s recipient:

  • Lisa’s opened in 1987 and has been serving the community for 35 years
  • Ongoing sponsorship of various Penfield Business Chamber programs
  • Extensive community support through local events and donations
  • A commitment to support the Penfield Chamber through full page ads
  • Continued efforts to promote and encourage shopping at local businesses
  • Ongoing attendance at chamber meetings and events whenever possible
  • The production and promotion of educational videos and informative content
  • An expansion in June of 2021, which added new jobs and increased selection

While we’re truly appreciative and humbled by this award, we would be remiss to not point out that we were in very good company among the two other nominated finalists.  Congratulations to our friends and colleagues at Don’s Original Restaurant and Pub, and Family First Credit Union for the outstanding contributions they continue to make for the betterment of the entire Penfield business community.
